Following on from the huge success of the 2024 Steampunk New Year event at The Belmont Hotel in Leicester we will be returning to the same venue to welcome in the New Year for 2025.

The event will begin on the afternoon/evening of Sunday 29 December and run through to a late breakfast on the morning of Wednesday 1 January.

For 2025 we will be loosely basing the event on 'Around The World in 80 days' with themed activities and meals, including a sumptuous evening buffet 'Bombay to Shanghai' on Monday night, 30 December, and then a New York drinks reception and five course Gala Dinner to welcome in the New Year on the Tuesday evening.

And the menus are in! First off, here is the planned buffet menu for Monday night, celebrating our journey from Bombay to Shanghai in fabulous style.

And next the menu for our New York Gala Ball on New Year's Eve itself. This promises to be every bit as spectacular as the food was last time around.

The hotel looked after us brilliantly well for New year 2024 and the weekend culminated in those who came and the hotel staff all asking us to run the event again this coming year. Last time we packed in trips out to see some local sights but also a number of indoors features including various crafting and gaming sessions, teapot racing, waltz lessons and more.

 

The hotel has limited capacity, making this a small but informal and extremely friendly event.

Most of the rooms have already been booked, but there are just a few left which you can reserve by sending an email to reservations@belmonthotel.co.uk or through their website here where you will find pricing and further details of rooms which are available. If you 'Book Room' on the hotel's home page then enter the dates as 29 December to 1 January you will automatically be taken to the pages about the Steampunk New Year event. Bookings will close on Boxing Day if the event is not sold out by then.
