Steam Powered Giraffe will be playing in England on Sunday 24 August!

The Ministry of Steampunk - who run the 'Steampunk Emporium' exbibition at MCM and Megacon - also arrange a number of Steampunk events each year, including the Biggest Steampunk Event in the World which is called Weekend at The Asylum and takes place in the beautiful city of Lincoln.

2025 will be the fifteenth Asylum, so the Ministry of Steampunk are flying over the Two Biggest Steampunk Bands in the world to perform.
SPG don't come over to the UK or the rest of Europe very often and this will be The First Time they have played in the UK or anywhere else in Europe since 2018.

You can expect a magnificent show in the biggest music venue in Lincoln called The Engine Shed. Also playing will be Thomas Benjamin Wild Esq. and Victor and the Bully.
Tickets will go on general sale from Thursday 3 April at 8PM but will be available from 8PM on Saturday 29 March to anyone who has bought a weekend wristband by midnight on Friday 28 March.
You can find out lots more about Weekend at the Asylum including how to buy a festival wristband elsewhere on this website.

A small number of VIP Tickets will also be available which will include seating in the centre section of the front three rows and will also give you an opportunity to meet the band for an autograph and a selfie after the show.
If you would like to come to see SPG and are wondering about accommodation we have negotiated a deal with the two universities in Lincoln to use their student accommodation. You can therefore stay in Affordable Student Accommodation at either Lincoln University (which is close to The Engine Shed where SPG will be performing) or at Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) which is closer to the daytime content of Weekend at the Asylum which takes place in the historic quarter, in and around Lincoln Castle.
Also playing at Weekend at the Asylum in 2025 will be Abney Park who are the Longest Running Steampunk band in the world. They have have released 32 albums, 3 novels, a role playing game, several board games and two Blu-rays. They have toured all over the world.
Abney Park's Sound is a mixture of gypsy rock, EDM , electroswing, industrial dance and western music. They perform as Airship Pirates and they put on a show which is as much a theatrical feast for the eyes as for the ears.

Abney Park will be playing on Friday 22 August at The Engine Shed, supported by duo Box Set and the amazing pirate band The Captain's Beard.

A special reduced price double ticket will be available for anyone with a Weekend at the Asylum wristband who wants to see both Abney Park on Friday and Steam Powered Giraffe on Sunday.

For the Ultimate Experience, why not come along to the whole Weekend at the Asylum? There are evening events from Thursday night through to Monday night and there will be so much going on through the day on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday that you will only be able to see a fraction of it.
Follow the buttons below to find out more about how you can book to see Steam Powered Giraffe, where the event takes place, where to stay, what else happens at the event and how to buy festival wristbands.
You don't have to have a festival wristband to buy a ticket to the SPG gig, but there will be a huge amount more for you to see including other experiences with SPG over the weekend if you do.
